It's fitness assessment time!! This year I received a grant to implement a better fitness assessment program called FITNESSGRAM. We have been practicing some of the assessments which include: PACER (aerobic capacity), curl-ups (muscular strength/endurance), sit and reach/shoulder stretch/trunk lift (flexibility) and eventually the modified pull-up (muscular strength/endurance). Scores will be used to compare year to year improvements, set goals and to see where the students rank within the Healthy Fitness Zone® standards.
